Fraternidade e tráfico humano

 A Igreja do Brasil realiza há 40 anos a Campanha da Fraternidade durante o período da Quaresma. A proposta procura unir a espiritualidade de conversão e a penitência deste tempo litúrgico em preparação para a Páscoa, as realidades sociais e carências humanitárias que exigem um maior comprometimento da nossa fé cristã.
 Neste ano, a Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB) propõe como tema Fraternidade e tráfico humano e como lema É para a liberdade que Cristo nos libertou. A sugestão nasceu de entidades ligadas à Pastoral da Mobilidade Humana e de grupos que trabalham para combater o trabalho escravo. Após um longo aprofundamento sobre o assunto, chegou-se à conclusão de que se trata de uma grave chaga social que afeta o mundo e representa um dos mais sérios problemas humanitários do nosso país. 
 De acordo com Estudos da Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT), são consideradas vítimas do tráfico humano pessoas aprisionadas pelo trabalho escravo e a exploração sexual. Em 2012, pelo menos 20,9 milhões foram vítimas deste crime em todo o mundo. No Brasil, pelo menos 2,5 milhões de pessoas são vítimas deste aliciamento envolvendo crianças, jovens e adultos. Geralmente, as vítimas são pessoas frágeis e inocentes que sonham com uma vida melhor, com a chance de sobrevivência ou com uma vida mais digna. São envolvidas em falsas promessas ou simplesmente levadas à força sem qualquer oportunidade de uma outra escolha. Tortura psicológica, constantes ameaças, falta de perspectivas ou qualquer proteção dos órgãos de segurança, fazem destas pessoas presas fáceis dos aliciadores.
 A Campanha da Fraternidade de 2014 chega numa boa hora em nosso país. O Brasil é palco de importantes eventos internacionais como a Copa do Mundo e os Jogos Olímpicos, no Rio de Janeiro, em 2016. A realização destes eventos aumenta a oferta e a procura pelo turismo sexual. Denúncias de trabalho escravo e exploração sexual, sobretudo de menores, fazem parte das manchetes dos nossos jornais quase de forma cotidiana. No Congresso Nacional, uma comissão parlamentar procura denunciar quem promove esta prática criminosa.
 A Igreja procura denunciar estruturas e situações causadoras do tráfico humano e reivindicar, dos poderes públicos, políticas e meios para reinserção das pessoas atingidas pelo tráfico humano e na vida familiar e social.
 Cada um de nós é chamado a se envolver nesta causa social e combater esta perversidade humana. Não se iniba em denunciar qualquer suspeita deste crime perto de você. Ao mesmo tempo, não deixe de ajudar entidades que trabalham por esta nobre causa. O trabalho escravo e a exploração sexual acontecem muitas vezes ao nosso lado, e não damos conta disso. Cristo nos libertou para que sejamos livres. Trabalhemos pela liberdade das vítimas desta opressão.

 The Church of Brazil carries out 40 years ago to Campaign of the Fraternity during the period of Quaresma. The proposal tries to join the spiritualty of conversion and the penitence of this liturgical time in preparation for the Easter, the social reality and humane lacks that demand a bigger compromising of our Christian faith. 
 This year, the National Conference of the Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) proposes like subject Fraternity and human traffic and like motto É for the freedom that Christ freed us. The suggestion was born of entities connected with the Pastoral one of the Human Mobility and of groups that work in order that slave fights the work. After a long deepening on the subject, was come to the conclusion of which it is the question of a serious social wound that affects the world and represents one of the most serious humane problems of our country.
 In accordance with Studies of the International Organization of the Work (OIT), healthy when victims of the human traffic were considered persons imprisoned by the work slave and the sexual exploration. In 2012, at least 20,9 millions were victims of this crime in whole world. In Brazil, at least 2,5 million persons are victims of this aliciamento wrapping children, young persons and adults. Generally, the victims are fragile and innocent persons who dream about a better life, about the chance of survival or about a worthier life. They are wrapped in false promises or simply taken by force without any opportunity of another choice. Psychological torture, constant threats, lack of perspectives or any protection of the organs of security, they do of these easy imprisoned persons of the baits.
 The Campaign of the Fraternity of 2014 arrives in a good hour in our country. Brazil is a stage of important international events like the Top of the World and the Olympic Games, in the Rio de Janeiro, in 2016. The realization of these events increases the offer and the search for the sexual tourism. Work denunciations slave and sexual exploration, especially of juveniles, make part of the headlines of our newspapers almost in the daily form. In the National Congress, a parliamentary commission tries to denounce the one who promotes this criminal practice. 
 The Church tries to denounce structures and situations which caused the human traffic and to claim, of the public powers, policies and ways for reinsertion of the persons reached by the human traffic and in the familiar and social life.
 Each one of us is called being wrapped in this social question and fighting this human perversity. Do not be inhibited in denouncing any suspicion of this crime near to you. At the same time, do not stop helping entities that work for this noble cause. The work slave and the sexual exploration happen very often to our side, and we do not notice that. Christ freed us so that we are free. Let's work for the freedom of the victims of this oppression.
